This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. Social Media Content Coordinator 2013008 Job Description We are looking for a Social Media Content Coordinator for our client EUMETSAT. EUMETSATs website and social media channels are important portals for communication of EUMETSAT activities and serve a variety of target audiences its intranet in turn serves as the main portal for internal communication within the organisation. Accordingly, your tasks will include Write, develop and upload content, for example press releases, within the SCIR Strategy, Communication and International Relations Information Area of the web site Publish and maintain static content within the SCIR area of the intranet Act as backup for other web site and intranet content publishers within SCIR Manage and moderate EUMETSATs online social media channels Twitter, FaceBook, Google Develop social media plans and enact them Liaise with social media managers in National Meteorological Services and other relevant international organisations regarding social media initiatives Support social mediaweb contentspecific tasks during key EUMETSAT activities launches, events, etc. Participate in the development of effective content management procedures and documentation for web site and intranet Monitor external newspolicy developments relevant for EUMETSATs strategy, via web and social media, and suggest strategiccommunication responses where appropriate. Required Skills and Experience Excellent written and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English. A relevant university degree. A thorough understanding and practical experience of the following Online social media services such as Twitter, FaceBook, Flickr, YouTube, etc. Writing for the web Web content layout and imagery selection Content Management Systems such as Oracle UCM Web content delivery methods and standards Desirable Skills and Experience Knowledge of the following products would be considered an advantage Adobe Flash, Adobe Premiere Pro, professional sound and video compression tools e.g. Sony SoundForge, Sorenson Squeeze and methods. Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator Dreamweaver Previous experience writing about scientifictechnology subjects.
