Emerging currencies have begun to decline significantly in the first four months of the year, which should help the current apparel sourcing shift out of China. The Turkish lira has plunged further in April, whereas the Indonesian currency was rebounding sharply. Our monthly statistical report covers the past two years and displays a comprehensive view of currency values against the US dollar but also compared with the euro, the British pound, the Indian rupee, the Pak. Rupee, and the Chinese renminbi over the last three years.
