Alexa allowed to share health data, opening new sector for Amazon

(Telecompaper) Amazon said that its Alexa Skills Kit has been declared compliant with the US Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), a move that propels the company into the health sector. Before, health information could only be share between patients and hospitals, doctors, or other companies within the health care system; now, data can be transmitted via Alexa-enabled devices.
